Criss Cross Lacing
(Lug version)
|
|
A lug version of
Criss Cross Lacing. This is the intended method of lacing shoes and boots that come with lugs instead of
eyelets. The laces simply criss-cross as they work their way up the shoe.
|
 |
Lacing Technique:
1. The lace runs straight across the bottom (grey section) and up through both bottom lugs.
2. The ends are crossed over each other, then they run up through the next set of lugs up the shoe.
3. Repeat step (2) until both ends reach the top lugs.
Features:
Traditional look
Simple to lace
Comfortable
Uninteresting
Comparative Length = 100%
The shoelace length used by "Lug Criss Cross Lacing" is the basic length against which all other lug lacing methods
are compared.

NOTE:
This method is the lug equivalent of
Criss Cross,
Over Under,
Display Shoe or
Double Helix Lacing, all of which are all normally slight variations of each other due to the different ways
the laces run through the eyelets. Because these variations are not possible with lugs, this lacing is like a
"simplified" version of any or all of those methods.
